Recent research has clearly shown our pets’ health is NOT determined solely by their genetic background. In addition to diet, lifestyle choices have a major impact and can be a deciding factor of whether our pets enjoy a life of chronic good health or chronic disease.
Our environment, unfortunately, is filled with toxins of all kinds, many of which we are unaware, and they can affect our pets as much, if not more, than they affect us. Many of these toxins we cannot control, but there are others we can mindfully consider and choose to avoid. Chew toys and treats, shampoos and conditioners, household cleaning products and air fresheners and lawn and garden products, among others, can include toxic ingredients that wreak havoc with our pets’ health and wellness.
